Finding The Song of Your Soul
I clearly remember, and can still easily access the experience of searching for … something. Not something outside of me, but a tiny bit of an inner knowing that there was something more within me that was calling out to be heard. The memory of the frustration of wanting so badly to know what that was inside of me. The search for whatever was trying to point me in a direction forward, yet having no idea how to connect with it. If only I could know what it was trying to reveal to me, I would most certainly take the steps to follow it, but I didn’t know how and that was the most frustrating of all.
Was it like having a million dollars in the bank but no ATM card to access it? Almost, but no... Yes it felt like there was something big locked up inside of me and I didn’t have a code to access it, but it was deeper - more like an ache in my heart.
There was a deep, inner knowing that resonated - reverberated through me. Somehow I knew there was something more inside of me that was part of the fabric of my make-up that longed for my attention, recognition, and expression. It was the very essence of who I am and my unique contribution to the bigger picture.
Not my contribution in terms of a job, or how I make a living, although that can be a role I would eventually choose to create. It’s far deeper, and less tangible. It’s not what you are doing…. it is who you are being - no matter what you are doing.
In other words, when you know who you are at your soul level and it deeply resonates with you as an inner truth and knowing, then you can open the pathways for your soul’s essence to express through you in all that you do. It is your personal brand. It is your ‘home’ frequency. It is the song of your soul. It is the frequency, the essence, that speaks through you and carries your unique melody.
When you finally connect with that part of you, everything becomes clear. Your life makes sense, and you finally see the path that has been there for you all along. Choices and decisions become easier. Saying ‘yes’ to what is right for you and ‘no’ to what is no longer a fit becomes a way of living your life. You are finally confident in the imperfect perfection of who you are and clear on where you want to go. All the while allowing the song of your soul to lead the way. ~lap
